Who We Are

Barton Church is blessed to have a gifted group of people who are committed to overseeing the church and making it work.

The Elders are the church’s leadership team. Their role is to make sure that the church remains committed to its vision and faithful to the Bible’s teaching.

Volunteer Programmes

We also have a number of volunteers on various programmes who act in support roles and make a huge contribution to the life of the church. This includes Nicole Gordon, who is currently on our Ministry Volunteer Programme, and several Interns (who spend a year with us developing their skills and experience of church life).

Ministry team leaders

The Ministry Team Leaders coordinate the strategies, budgets and volunteers for the ministry areas that they are responsible for. These men and women are usually volunteers themselves, with a passion and suitable gifts for the areas that they look after. We believe in supporting and equipping these leaders, and giving them the freedom and responsibility to develop their own teams.

Life group leaders

The Life Group Leaders are responsible for the church’s Life Groups. They are key people in enabling others to feel a part of the church, and in providing support for their Life Group members. As Barton Church continues to grow, these volunteers with a passion for caring for others help us to continue creating a very real sense of community.

Life groups

The Volunteers are the life blood of the church. Nothing happens without them! We are grateful to the many people who dedicate themselves to seeing Barton Church’s vision become a reality. There are many different ways to be a volunteer at Barton and serve the community.
