Our Vision…
Young people who have a genuine relationship with Jesus, who accept God’s authority/influence over their lives, and who take ownership for their own faith.
Young people making choices which are undeniably in obedience to God, risking popularity, rejection and comfort by living a life of outrageous joy, love, peace, generosity and hope.
A community of young people centred on the love of Jesus, being attractive to those who encounter it because of the shared sense of belonging and desire to deepen relationships.
At 10.30am Canterbury Youth meet at Canterbury College! During the hour we have we will have time for hanging out, playing big group games and exploring the monthly youth series.
At 4pm, for those that are in our Faversham Youth group, we meet at West Faversham Community Centre. We catch up on the week we have just had, eat cookies/muffins, and then explore the monthly youth series.

Our midweek youth is where we really focus on the authentic faith and contagious community aspect of our vision. We really hope that any young person that comes along to one of our groups feels welcomed, included and loved.
Tuesdays: On Tuesdays we have Youth Life Groups! We have one for our Younger Youth (Yr 7 – 9) and one for our Older Youth (Yr 10+). Our Younger Youth LG runs from 6pm – 8pm and our Older Youth LG runs from 6.30pm – 8.30pm. This gives time for parents to collect their young people if they have young people in both!
Each week, we eat together, explore God together and enjoy God together.
Wednesdays: From 7pm to 8.30pm , we join in with Hope Faversham Youth. Hope Faversham Youth is a youth group that is made up of youth from a variety of churches in Faversham and we usually meet at Faversham Baptist Church.
There is time for hanging out with friends and time for exploring God!
Friday: Each Friday we have a social for either the Younger or Older Youth. These alternate each month so do get in touch with us if you’re wanting to hangout with us so we can make sure you get the right week. Come from 7pm and leave by 9pm!
On the 3rd Friday of the month we have All Youth Night which is where ALL the youth get together to do something outside of our usual meeting place.
We know that this season we find ourselves in brings up all kinds of different emotions, feelings and questions, and the youth leaders at Barton want to make sure that during this time the young people God has entrusted us with are cared for as well as possible. Young people always have the opportunity to meet with a youth leader, be part of a smaller community and be welcomed, included and loved.
